Fraction Modeling Set
This 234-piece set of hexagon components makes it possible to model scores of problems! Models give meaning to relative fraction sizes, relationships, equivalence, renaming, addition, subtraction, and more. The yellow hexagon represents "one." The other shapes model halves, thirds, fourths, sixths, and twelfths. Great for modeling teacher-generated activities, projecting on an overhead, engaging whole class participation, or expanding the number of students who can work simultaneously using activities in Fractions with Understanding. The high-quality card stock pieces are particularly appropriate for use with middle grade students, where the struggle with fractions is the most intense.
